YOUR
PANEL
PAGE.
Thank you for testing Signal. This is the one place with everything you need for the 30 days: how to use it, how to take your photos, your dates, and what to do if your skin reacts.
Your survey links arrive by email on each check-in day. They're personal to you (your panel ID is built in), so please use the link in your email and don't share it.
Nobody outside my studio has used Signal before this panel, so every one of you has a true before. Honest is more useful to me than nice.
— Jen
EMAIL JEN30 DAYS.FOUR CHECK-INS.
Face and neck for everyone, plus the one body area you chose.
BEFORE YOU START
When your kit arrives, patch test: one small dab on the inside of your forearm, leave it on, check after 24 hours. Then take your Day 0 photos and do the baseline survey between Oct 1 and Oct 3 — and don't start using Signal until I've confirmed your photos (by Oct 4).
EVERY DAY, OCT 5 – NOV 2
Morning and evening. One pump for face and neck, one for your body area — or enough for light coverage. Keep the rest of your routine exactly as it is. Nothing new on the treated areas.
CHECK IN FOUR TIMES
Day 7: a 5-minute survey, no photos. Day 14 and Day 28: photos plus a short survey, same set-up as Day 0. Finish all four and your $100 urthyscents.com credit comes by email within a week of Day 28 — whatever you thought of it.
ONE PUMP,
OR ENOUGH FOR
LIGHT COVERAGE.
Signal is a leave-on serum. It goes on clean, dry skin and stays on. You don't need to rub it in hard or wait for it to disappear.
If one pump doesn't cover the area, use a little more. You're aiming for a thin, even layer over all of it — not a wet one.
SIX PHOTOS.
SAME WAY,
EVERY TIME.
You'll take this set three times: Day 0 (Oct 1–3), Day 14 (Oct 19) and Day 28 (Nov 2). The photos only work if the set-up matches, so pick a spot you can come back to and mark it with tape. The example photos show the framing — the purple box is what should be in the picture.

Top of head to collarbone. Chin level, relaxed face, eyes open, no smile.

Turn your head to the left until your far eye just disappears. Same distance.

Same as shot 2, other side.

Chin level, not lifted. Frame from your chin to just below your collarbones.

Standing, front on, phone at hip height. Both thighs from hip to knee.

Arm relaxed at your side, from shoulder to elbow. Same arm every time.

Standing, relaxed — don't pull in. From just under the bust to the hips.

The one thing that bothers you most, about a hand's width from the phone. Same spot each time.
- Daylight from a window, facing the light. Same room, same window, same time of day every photo day.
- Standard photo mode on your phone, back camera if someone can help; front camera is fine if you're alone.
- Bare skin: no makeup, nothing applied for at least an hour, skin dry. Hair off your face and neck.
- Glasses off. Jewelry off your neck. Neutral, relaxed face.
- Tape marks on the floor for your feet and for the phone. Arm's length, phone at eye level for face and neck.
- No Portrait mode, no filters, no beauty or smoothing settings, no zoom.
- No lamps, no flash, no bathroom mirror lighting.
- No editing, cropping or retouching before you upload — we never alter skin either.
- Don't apply Signal (or anything else) before your photos on a photo day.
- Don't change the spot, the time of day or the framing between Day 0, Day 14 and Day 28.
Your photos are seen by Jen and the person helping her score them. They are stored privately and deleted at the end of the study unless you gave separate permission on your consent form. We never retouch or alter skin.

STOP.
THEN
EMAIL ME.
Signal contains vitamin A (retinyl linoleate). Mild dryness or a little flaking in the first couple of weeks is normal — drop the evening application to every other night until it settles, then go back to twice a day.
If you get significant redness, burning, swelling, itching or a rash: stop immediately and email me. Don't try to push through it. Your place in the panel and your $100 credit are not affected.
You can stop at any time, for any reason — just send a quick email to info@urthylife.com so I know, and I'll tell you whether to return or discard the bottle.
Also email me before continuing if you start a prescription retinoid, find out you're pregnant or nursing, or book a facial procedure during the 30 days.
Keep Signal away from your eyes and out of reach of children. Store at room temperature, out of direct sun.

You're the first people outside my studio to use Signal, and what you report shapes what I do with it next. Any question at all — just email me with your panel ID.
