I'm Jen — formulator and founder. Urthy started because I couldn't find products that were both tolerable and effective. I have early markers of autoimmune disease; products other people loved gave me headaches, breakouts and flares. "Clean" rarely performed. What performed, I couldn't tolerate. So I started formulating — first for me, then friends, then everyone.
It started with scent: candles poured in a coconut and vegetable wax blend, room mists and diffusers built on plant-based, phthalate-free fragrance oils — and, later, those same scents as eau de parfum and perfume oil you can wear. One scent library, for your space and for you.
Every Urthy formula since — body care, skincare, fragrance — has been written from scratch in-house, not licensed from a lab. Years of it taught us one thing over and over: skin is skin. Your elbow, your neck, your hands and your face are the same organ, changing the same way. Urthy Skin is the routine built on that: four steps, face and body. Nothing you don't need.

WHAT SLOWS THEM

Every Urthy formula starts with Jen and is developed alongside experienced formulation chemists. We start with what we want the formula to do, then build around clean ingredients with a reason to be there — performance first, filler never. And we test before it gets anywhere near your skin.
THE SKIN.
We work with estheticians, holistic doctors and surgeons who see real skin every day — and use Urthy in their own practices. Their experience helps inform what we make, how we formulate and what skin actually needs from face to body. It’s how we built our whole-body approach and simplified it into four steps.
THE SENSES.
Years of fragrance and aromatherapy work taught us that how a formula feels and smells matters too. We understand how scent behaves in a formula, on skin and in the space around you — and when it doesn’t belong at all. Nothing is there by accident.

We choose ingredients for what they do — not because they look good on a label. We use documented ingredients at purposeful levels, build them into formulas designed to work together, and tell you exactly why they’re there. If it doesn’t have a job, it doesn’t get in.
