Everlume™ Body Butter

SHEA · COCOA · CHOLESTEROL · PHYTOSPHINGOSINE
The butter for skin that lotion gave up on.

Some skin needs more than a lotion. Everlume Body Butter is a rich cream built on shea and cocoa butter with two of the barrier's own lipids — cholesterol and phytosphingosine — folded in. It puts lipids back where washing, weather and age have thinned them, slows water loss, and leaves arms, legs, hands and heels soft without a greasy film. Step 3 of the routine, for the whole body.

Fragrance Free

How this supports longevity: replaces the lipids the barrier loses to washing and weather, so skin holds water and stays comfortable over time.

Is it for your skin?

Anyone whose skin is dry again by morning. Rough elbows, knees, hands and heels. Skin in winter, on planes, or under indoor heating. Anyone who finds lotions too light and balms too heavy. The fragrance-free version is the one for reactive skin.

The science

Dry body skin is usually a lipid problem. The mortar between skin cells — ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids — thins with washing, weather and age, and water leaves faster than skin can replace it. Everlume Body Butter puts lipids back two ways. Shea and cocoa butter and sunflower seed oil add bulk fatty acids that soften and slow water loss. Cholesterol and phytosphingosine add the barrier's own building blocks, so skin has the materials it needs to rebuild the mortar. All of it in a water-based cream that absorbs rather than sitting on the surface.

Key ingredients

Sunflower seed oil · Shea butter · Cocoa seed butter · Carnauba wax · Phytosphingosine · Cholesterol · Coco-glucoside (mild plant-derived emulsifier)

How to use

After your shower, while skin is still damp, take a small amount and warm it between your palms. Massage into arms, legs and torso in circles until it absorbs, then go back over elbows, knees, hands and heels. Use it morning and night, or wherever a lotion is not enough.

FEEL IT

Thick in the jar, softens as you rub it in. Tight, flaky patches feel cushioned straight away and the finish is soft, not slick.

NEXT

LESS DRY BY MORNING

Shea, cocoa butter and sunflower oil slow water loss through the barrier, so skin is less tight after a shower and less dry when you wake up. Elbows, knees and heels start to smooth over the first weeks.

OVER TIME

A BARRIER THAT KEEPS UP

Cholesterol and phytosphingosine are the lipids your barrier is made from. Putting them back daily gives skin more to work with, so the softness holds through winter, flying and heating.

WHAT'S IN IT. WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND.

KEY ACTIVES.
DOSED RIGHT.

Two plant butters and two barrier lipids in one cream. Here is what the research says about the three doing the most work — studies on the ingredients, not on this jar.

01 / 03
SHEA BUTTER
2 WEEKS
Butter pressed from the nut of the shea tree, high in oleic and stearic acids plus unsaponifiables. It is the lipid bulk of this cream — the part that cushions rough skin and slows water loss.
In 10 volunteers applying a shea butter formulation daily to the forearm for 2 weeks, skin hydration and elasticity both improved significantly (p<0.05), instrument-measured. Small panel. A separate lab test on skin samples found a 37.8% drop in water loss (TEWL) 24 hours after shea butter was applied — lab study, not a human trial.
02 / 03
CHOLESTEROL + PHYTOSPHINGOSINE
8 WEEKS
Cholesterol is one of the three lipids that make up the mortar between skin cells; phytosphingosine is the backbone your skin builds ceramides from. Together they give this butter something a plain shea cream does not have — the same materials the barrier is built from.
In an 8-week study on women aged 55 to 75, a cholesterol-dominant barrier-lipid cream significantly improved stratum corneum hydration at weeks 4 and 8 and reduced water loss (TEWL) at week 8, with measurable increases in the skin's own ceramides and cholesterol. Skin treated after tape-stripping recovered its barrier significantly faster than untreated skin. Single-center pilot study.
03 / 03
SUNFLOWER SEED OIL
4 WEEKS
A linoleic-acid-rich oil and the second ingredient in this cream. It is the lightweight lipid that lets a shea-and-cocoa butter spread and absorb instead of sitting on top of the skin.
In 19 adult volunteers, with and without a history of atopic dermatitis, six drops of sunflower seed oil applied to one forearm twice daily for 4 weeks improved hydration and preserved stratum corneum integrity, with no redness. Olive oil on the other forearm did the opposite. Randomized, forearm-controlled.

Study results describe research on the individual ingredient, not clinical testing of this finished formula. Individual results vary.

HOW TO USE

RICH WHERE IT'S NEEDED.

After your shower, while skin is still damp, take a small amount and warm it between your palms. Massage into arms, legs and torso in circles until it absorbs, then go back over elbows, knees, hands and heels. Use it morning and night, or wherever a lotion is not enough.

A little goes further than you expect. If it feels heavy, use less next time.
