Colloidal Oat Face & Body Bar Soap

COLLOIDAL OAT · KAOLIN · COLD-PROCESS BAR
The gentle bar for skin that reacts to everything.

Sensitive, dry or easily irritated skin does not need less cleansing, it needs cleansing that leaves the barrier alone. This is a cold-process bar of coconut, palm kernel and olive oils with colloidal oat to calm and kaolin clay to lift dirt gently. It lathers softly, rinses clean and leaves skin comfortable. Face and body. Step 1 of the routine.

How this supports longevity: a mild wash that keeps skin's own lipids in place, so the barrier is not rebuilt from scratch every day.

Is it for your skin?

Sensitive or reactive skin. Dry, flaky or itchy skin. Anyone who has given up on bar soap because it left them tight and red. One bar for face and body, gentle enough for every day.

The science

Most bars that feel gentle are detergent bars with added moisturizer; most true soaps are harsh. This is neither. Coconut, palm kernel and olive oils are saponified slowly in small batches, which leaves a share of free oils in the finished bar to condition skin as it cleans. Colloidal oat adds oat starches, lipids and polyphenols that calm the skin's surface, and kaolin gives a soft, creamy lather that lifts dirt without pulling moisture out. Clean, calm, nothing to recover from.

NOW

FEEL IT

A soft, creamy lather that rinses without residue. No tightness, no sting, no itch afterwards — skin just feels clean and settled.

NEXT

LESS REACTIVE

Skin that is not stripped twice a day has less to recover from. Redness and post-wash itch calm down over the first weeks of daily use.

OVER TIME

A CALM BASELINE

The barrier is the foundation every other step builds on. A cleanser that respects it every day is what lets Signal, Ekoa and Everlume do their work.

WHAT'S IN IT. WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND.

KEY ACTIVES.
DOSED RIGHT.

Colloidal oat and kaolin on a cold-process oil base. Here is what published research says about the three doing the most work — studies on the ingredients, not on this bar.

01 / 03
COLLOIDAL OAT
BARRIER SUPPORT
Whole oat kernels milled to a fine powder that carries oat starches, lipids and avenanthramide polyphenols. In this bar it is the calming ingredient, the reason it suits skin that reacts to most washes.
In an investigator-blinded study, 50 healthy women with moderate to severe dry skin on the lower legs used a colloidal oat lotion. Skin dryness, moisturization and barrier all improved significantly. Leave-on lotion, not a soap; lab work in the same paper showed oat extracts switch on barrier-building genes.
02 / 03
KAOLIN
4 WEEKS
A soft white clay, the mildest of the cosmetic clays. It gives the bar a smooth, creamy feel and picks up dirt and excess oil without the drying pull of stronger clays.
Seventy-five adults with oily or combination skin used a kaolin-based clay mask twice a week for 4 weeks. Sebum, hydration and water loss all improved significantly by instrument, and dryness and irritation went down rather than up. Commercial mask, not a soap.
03 / 03
COCONUT OIL
2 WEEKS
The backbone of the bar. Saponified coconut oil gives a quick, dense lather, and the unsaponified fraction a cold-process soap keeps behind is what leaves skin conditioned rather than stripped.
Randomized double-blind trial, 34 people with mild to moderate dry skin, applying coconut oil to the legs twice daily for 2 weeks. Skin hydration and surface lipids increased significantly, with no rise in water loss. Leave-on oil, not a soap.

Study results describe research on the individual ingredient, not clinical testing of this finished formula. Individual results vary.

HOW TO USE

LATHER. RINSE. DONE.

Wet the bar and work up a lather between your hands or on a washcloth. Massage over face and body, then rinse with warm water. Use morning and night. Let the bar drain dry between uses so it lasts.

If your skin is very dry, once a day at night is plenty. Rinse the face with water only in the morning.
