EVERY AGE Serum Fortify 40s

SERUM FOR SKIN IN ITS 40s · CERAMIDES · BAKUCHIOL · VITAMIN C ESTER
The serum for the decade skin starts to give.

In your 40s skin holds less water, springs back more slowly, and lines stay after the expression has gone. Fortify is an oil-based serum built for that decade: lupin seed extract and bakuchiol for the look of firmness and fine lines, an oil-soluble vitamin C for tone, and borage, oat and pomegranate lipids to slow water loss. Goes on last, over your water-based steps. Step 4 of the routine.

How this supports longevity: barrier lipids slow water loss every day, so skin stays supple while the actives work on the look of firmness over months.

Is it for your skin?

Skin in its 40s: softness at the jaw, lines that linger, foundation sitting differently than it used to. Anyone who wants retinol-style results morning and night without the sting. Dry or reactive skin that needs its last step to hold water in, not just add it.

The science

Through the 40s skin makes less of its own lipids and collagen, so it holds less water and springs back more slowly. Fortify works on both. Ceramides — the lipid mortar that thins through the 40s — go back in as ceramide NP with rice lipids, alongside borage (rich in gamma-linolenic acid), oat, pomegranate sterols and squalane, so skin holds water and stays supple. Lupin seed extract and bakuchiol act on the look of firmness and fine lines, the oil-soluble vitamin C ester on tone, and CoQ10, raspberry seed oil and vitamin E protect the whole formula and your skin surface from oxidation. Being oil-based, it goes on last and seals in whatever went before it.

How to use

Shake well. Press 3–5 drops into clean, slightly damp skin, morning and night. Oils go last — after Signal Synq or any water-based serum, mist or moisturizer, so it seals them in. Massage until absorbed; give it a minute before makeup.

NOW

FEEL IT

A light, dry-touch oil that sinks in within a minute. Skin feels cushioned and comfortable, not greasy, and makeup sits on top without moving.

NEXT

HOLDS WATER

Borage, oat and pomegranate lipids slow evaporation from the barrier. Over the first two to four weeks skin feels softer through the day and tightness after cleansing eases.

OVER TIME

LOOK OF FIRMNESS

Lupin seed, bakuchiol and the vitamin C ester are slow-working. Give them 12 weeks of daily use for the look of fine lines, tone and bounce to change, then keep going.

WHAT'S IN IT. WHAT THE RESEARCH FOUND.

KEY ACTIVES.
DOSED RIGHT.

A lipid base carrying a firming botanical, a retinol alternative and an oil-soluble vitamin C. Here is what the research says about the three doing the most work — studies on the ingredients, not on this bottle.

01 / 03
BAKUCHIOL
12 WEEKS
A plant compound from the babchi seed that switches on many of the same skin pathways as retinol. It works on the appearance of fine lines and uneven tone without retinol's peeling or sting, so it can be used morning and night.
Randomized, double-blind trial, 44 people, 12 weeks: bakuchiol 0.5% cream twice daily reduced wrinkle surface area and hyperpigmentation as well as retinol 0.5%, with no statistical difference between the two. Retinol users reported more scaling and stinging.
02 / 03
CERAMIDES
24 HOURS
Ceramides are the lipid mortar between your skin cells, and the supply drops through the 40s. Fortify carries ceramide NP with rice lipids — the same family your skin builds its own from — in an oil that sits in the barrier the way they do.
After a single application of a ceramide-based cream, skin hydration was significantly higher at 24 hours than three leading over-the-counter moisturizers, and water loss through the skin (TEWL) was significantly reduced across the same 24 hours. Healthy adults, instrument-measured; a cream, not an oil serum.
03 / 03
VITAMIN C ESTER
12 WEEKS
Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, a fat-soluble form of vitamin C that stays stable in oil and converts to vitamin C in skin. It works on the look of uneven tone and supports a firmer-looking surface without the sting of the acid form.
Open-label study, 35 adults aged 21–55, 12 weeks of a serum with tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate: pigmentation, fine lines, smoothness, firmness and elasticity all improved significantly versus baseline (p<0.0001), and water loss through the skin fell by week 4. The serum also contained a stabilizing antioxidant; no control group.

Study results describe research on the individual ingredient, not clinical testing of this finished formula. Individual results vary.
